  • Works like a check – pay for your purchases from your checking account at any business that accepts Visa or MasterCard debit cards
  • Acts like a credit card – because it carries the Visa or MasterCard it can be used for immediate purchases. The member authorizes funds to be held in reserve from their checking account as a pre-authorization for future payment. This option is authorized by selecting ‘credit’ which is a signature transaction, instead of selecting ‘debit’ which is a PIN (Personal Identification Number) transaction, at time of purchase.

MasterCard(R) Gift Cards

  • $0 purchase fee for BVSCU members with account(s) in good standing
  • The following fees may apply: monthly activity fee of $2.95 after 12 consecutive months of inactivity; lost/stolen replacement card fee of $5.00.

Money Orders - Traveler’s Express Money Orders. Maximum amount of $1,000.00. Safer than cash and accepted worldwide. Free to BVSCU members with an account in good standing.

Notary Services - Available at all BVSCU offices.  No fee for BVSCU members.

Overdraft Protection - You may have Overdraft Protection through your Savings Account, a Line of Credit Loan (if you qualify), or through another account if you own more than one. All transactions are subject to Reg D.

Payroll Deductions - most school districts, businesses, and government entities through payroll deposits or ACH deposits.

Safe Deposit - Safe deposit box rentals are available at all BVSCU locations except Bryan. Check rental rates here.

Signature Guarantee - Offered at Katy - Home Office Location and Rosenberg - Mustang Ave Location.

Teller Checks - Free to BVSCU members with an account in good standing. Funds are certified. Funds must have been on deposit for 3 business days.

Traveler's Checks - Checks may be purchased at any BVSCU office and come in several denominations. Free to BVSCU members with an account in good standing. 

Wire Services - You may directly transfer funds from an account at one financial institution to another through the Federal Reserve System with our Wire Service.
