Q: Do I need to be a member to participate?
A: Yes. You can open your membership today for just $5 and your second savings for the program participation at the same time.
Q: Can I give to multiple foundations?
A: No, only one foundation is allowed under the program.
Q: On an annual basis what month will the funds be disbursed?
A: The end of each year.
Q: What if I can’t find my preferred Educational Foundation listed?
A: The only educational foundations eligible are the ones within our field of membership.
Q: Are there any fees associated with this debit card?
A: No fees are associated with this debit card.
Q: Other than the “round up” amount, can I make a deposit on my own to the savings account associated with the debit card?
A: No, the ‘round up’ funds are the only funds required for this program.
Q: How can I check my balance?
A: Account balances can be viewed online, by phone or visit your nearest branch.
Q: Can I make withdrawals on this account?
A: Yes by contacting a representative. However, withdrawals are not encouraged as it will reduce the total donation amount.
Q: Will I need to opt-in to donate?
A: Yes. You can opt-in or opt-out at any time by signing the Education Foundation Program form.
Q: If I am a joint owner of an account am I required to participate?
A: Yes, joint owners are required participants.
Q: Will my account earn dividends?
A: The account will not earn dividends. However, you may sign up for an additional savings account that earns dividends that is not associated with this program.
Q: Is there a minimum opening amount?
A: No minimum required
Q: Will a Charitable contribution form be provided by BVSCU?
A: No, BVSCU will not provide a Charitable contribution form.
